Tomorrow will be off to Taipei, Taiwan for the first time in my life. Will be meeting some former colleagues (mostly retired) for golf and "re-union".

Early Spring and what's been happening, mate?

Having been away from blogging for a month, last 1 month had seen a very warm day in mid winter, as well as a bloody cold snowy day not long after. Suddenly, the neighbour's flowers bloomed! So we went to a park at the behest of Chloe to catch some Sakura （桜）。

The dawn of spring reminds me that I have created the blog for almost a year now. Its also almost a year ago (Last April) that I lost my 8GB memory card, and that I had gone to Perth for a trip in Feb. Its almost like not so long ago yet its been awhile.

Last 1 month had seen several rounds of golf, in which I used my trusty old Taylor Made TP irons, and then after which my iron game came back. Most recent round I played a 53/44, the lowest from the blue tee in the group at Narita Taiheiyo course. My short game made the difference and it was the short irons and wedges that allowed that.

Meanwhile, the audiophile bug returned and I was busy with a new Luxman Class A Integrated amplifier and some new Ortofon cables. My Thiel 7.2 behemoths were sent to the agent in Tokyo for inspection. The courier company had to bring a truck in just for them. Both woofers needed replacement and they costs total of US$2,500!

Damn, I could buy a new pair of decent sounding speakers with that same amount. So am now sourcing thru' alternative agents in Singapore and Hong Kong for the American made parts. Or heck, just buy a new pair of speakers and repair them later. That way, I'd have a new toy and can look forward to getting them Thiels fixed later on.

The damn Panasonic projector lamp quit and needed replacement as well. What else is going to fail, I wonder?
