Today was business golf at Marunouchi Country Club in Chiba. The weather was hot (36deg) and everyone endured through the 18holes with ice packs wrapped in towel and strapped around the neck. Thanks to the caddie san for this neat trick for relief.
First nine played 48, buggered one hole with a 9 on a par 5....Focused on the mental game and was back attacking the greens in no time. Managed to stay below the psychological 50 pts level.
After a decent lunch of 淡々緬 (tan tan men) and a nice cool mug of 生ビール (nama biru) was back attacking the greens in no time and had 3 consecutive pars on Holes 2,3,4, all par 4s!
The heat soon caught up and could not sustain the level of focus needed to keep the par run going, especially when it came to the index 1 Par4.
The new Tourstage X-Drive driver is still sweet, but had one O/B shot today into a right dogleg par 5, which I managed to salvage with a double bogey.
